We value the unique skills of every individual and are excited about the prospect of you becoming part of our dynamic university.

Role Overview

The Accommodation and Allocations Office is dedicated to ensuring that all students at Durham University are assigned to a college in a transparent and equitable manner. We also provide essential information, guidance, and support to students seeking accommodation, whether through university-managed options or private housing.

You will be the primary user of the College Room Management System, responsible for updating data, generating reports, and providing management information to support accommodation planning.

Your role entails significant responsibility and the capacity to work independently, as well as overseeing the workload of the Accommodation and Allocations Administrator.

You will engage with university staff and provide training to relevant college personnel on the Room Management System, while handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.

Your interactions will include current and prospective students, their families, landlords, and providers of purpose-built student accommodation.

Extensive use of the Banner student record system is required, along with familiarity with university financial and procurement systems.

You will manage all facets of the college admissions and membership processes, addressing accommodation inquiries from staff and students.
