Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Head of Investments and Valuation to join our team at JERA Nex Limited. As a key member of our Investments, M&A and Valuation team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our investment strategy, organisation, and internal investment and valuation policies and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement investment strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee financial modelling and valuation analysis work for prospective investments and divestments of renewable energy assets, projects, or companies.
- Evaluate and challenge inputs to investment decisions, identifying key value drivers and pinpointing core issues within business processes.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure informed senior management decisions and that financial impacts are understood.
- Lead the investment approval process, liaising with business owners, senior management, and the Board of Directors.
- Lead special projects and business initiatives across the organisation, monitoring their progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or other advisory roles, with a strong background in global renewable energy businesses.
- Experience in overseeing complex financial modelling, corporate budgeting, and planning, as well as comprehensive valuation analyses.
- Strong track-record of leading project-based teams and working effectively in a collaborative environment with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
