Job Description

Aspire People is currently recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to work in Primary schools in Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the teacher with classroom management and lesson delivery, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Support the development and implementation of lesson plans, adapting activities to meet the needs of all students.
  • Assist in monitoring student progress and providing feedback to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Provide targeted support for small groups or 1:1 interventions, particularly for children struggling with mathematics or reading.
  • Think on your feet to create engaging and relevant activities that complement the lesson and enhance student understanding.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, at HLTA level.
  • Strong empathy and understanding of individual student needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with the student, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the student and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or teaching assistant role are desirable but not essential.
