Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to join our client's finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's cash, banking relationships, and overseeing new debt acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Cash and Banking Relationships
    • Oversee the company's cash management, ensuring efficient and effective use of funds.
    • Negotiate and manage banking relationships to secure favorable terms and rates.
  • Oversee New Debt Acquisition
    • Identify and evaluate new debt opportunities to support the company's growth and financial objectives.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize debt management and minimize risk.
  • Co-own the Finance Annual Delivery Plan
    • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement the company's annual financial plan.
    • Ensure alignment with the company's overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Maintain the Treasury Loan Portfolio
    • Oversee the management of the company's loan portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize the portfolio and minimize risk.
  • Build Excellent Relationships with External Stakeholders
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, and other key partners.
    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration to achieve business objectives.
  • Prepare Reports and Present to Board and Committee Meetings
    • Develop and present regular financial reports to the board and committee meetings.
    • Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Seek New Approaches and Ways of Working
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Develop and implement new approaches and strategies to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Directly Line Manage at Least 3 Colleagues
    • Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
    • Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance team skills and capabilities.

Requirements

  • Relevant Treasury Qualification and/or Substantial Experience
    • Hold a relevant treasury qualification, such as a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or a Certified Financial Manager (CFM).
    • Alternatively, possess substantial experience in treasury management, funding, and financial planning.
  • High Attention to Detail and Excellent Verbal/Written Communication Skills
    • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
    • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to Align Financial Data to Trends in Operation and Strategic Performance
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's financial performance and trends.
    • Align financial data to strategic objectives, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Understands the Importance of Trying New Approaches and Ideas
    • Demonstrate a willingness to challenge existing processes and procedures.
    • Develop and implement new approaches and strategies to drive business growth and improvement.
