English Teacher Opportunity

TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a secondary school in the Newton Abbot area on a long-term, full-time basis.

The successful candidate will have a secure knowledge of the subject and curriculum area, fostering pupils' interest and encouraging them to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Teach English across KS3 and KS4, with experience teaching at KS5 being advantageous
  2. Build relationships rooted in mutual respect and have high expectations of behaviour, using praise, sanctions and rewards consistently and fairly
  3. Hold QTS with an English specialism, with Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) also encouraged to apply
