Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the appointment and training of Authorised Persons to ensure they meet the necessary qualifications and competencies.
  • Conduct regular reviews of Authorised Persons' operational experience and recommend refresher training as needed.
  • Investigate electrical incidents and ensure that safety operating procedures are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote best practices in electrical safety management.
  • Ensure that all electrical Dangerous Occurrences are thoroughly investigated and reported.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer with a strong understanding of electrical systems and installations.
  • Completion of an approved Authorised Person training course and relevant electrical qualifications.
  • Knowledge of HSAWA, EAWR, CDM, and risk assessment processes.
  • Familiarity with the 18th Edition IET Electrical Regulations.
  • Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of electrical safety guidance.
