About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Housekeeper/Catering Assistant to join our team at South Wolds Academy & Sixth Form. As a dual role, you will work closely with both the general housekeeping and catering teams to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with housekeeping duties, including cleaning and maintaining the school's facilities
  • Work with the catering team to prepare and serve meals to students and staff
  • Ensure all areas of the school are clean and tidy, including classrooms, corridors, and communal areas
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and functions
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a school environment is not essential, but a commitment to high standards of hygiene and cleanliness is
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting and carrying heavy objects
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
