Job Description

**Business Assurance Specialist**

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Assurance Specialist to join our team at St. James's Place. As a Business Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business operations are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough compliance checks on business submissions from our partners to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Business Risk and Field Management teams to identify and address any issues raised during the compliance checking process.
  • Deliver projects as required, including partner investigations and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Attend regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure a consistent approach to compliance and to discuss areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that our business operations maintain an acceptable and consistent level of service standards.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Ability to undertake complex calculations and analysis related to income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and annual lifetime pensions allowances.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to articulate complex feedback in a clear and concise manner.
  • Resilience to setbacks and challenges, with the ability to handle expectations and adapt to changes in process and practice.
  • CII Level 4 Diploma or equivalent qualification, with a willingness to continue professional development.
