Job Opportunity

NCG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to take on the role of Lecturer in Computing. This position has been created due to increasing student numbers and a significant investment in IT resources, enabling NCG to expand its IT teaching team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and managing learning on a range of IT and computing qualifications from E3 to level 3 for both adults and 16-18-year olds. Courses include T-Level, BTEC Level 3 RQF, City and Guilds, OCN, and Gateway qualifications. The post holder will lead on the delivery of the course, manage learner attendance and progress, and report to the Curriculum Manager.

This role requires a strong background in Computer Science and IT-related subjects teaching Computing and a proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in this sector. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to self-manage workload and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and manage learning on IT and computing qualifications
  • Lead on the delivery of courses and manage learner attendance and progress
  • Report to the Curriculum Manager
  • Develop and maintain a strong background in Computer Science and IT-related subjects
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and stakeholders
