About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Merchandiser to join our team at Zachary Daniels Recruitment. As a Junior Merchandiser, you will play a key role in the success of our clients' ecommerce and retail businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own daily line sales and update forecasts for your area, communicating weekly with senior merchandisers on OTB.
  • Assist the Head of Merchandising in building category WSSI's.
  • Effectively plan product launches for the brand in retail spaces.
  • Understand the planning of stock allocation.
  • Experience of working with external brands or partners is desired.
  • Update actualised sales and prepare monthly re-forecasts with senior management.
  • Identify where cancellations and phasing activity needs to occur with the support of your assistant and trainee.
  • Develop junior members of the team, motivating team morale while setting realistic goals & objectives.
  • Ensure daily administrative tasks are done accurately & in a timely manner by direct reports.
  • Naturally build a strong relationship with your Buyer, assisting in all range builds, sign off's, and strategy meetings.
  • Identify best sellers and move on's that the team need to focus on to generate new sales.
  • Review product and supplier mix's with your Buyer to ensure the right product, quality, and designs are being brought into the business.
  • Build strategy, lessons learnt, and weekly trade packs for the wider team, while being confident in presenting suggestions and actions to senior management.
  • Establish a consistent pricing architecture across your ranges while being mindful of the competition and any promotional activity.
