About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment across our health board premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment, including power circuits, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  • Carry out pre-planned maintenance tasks and fault finding in electrical and mechanical settings.
  • Provide multi-skilled engineering expertise across various electrical and mechanical equipment and fabric.
  • Ensure maintenance tasks are fulfilled to appropriate levels of quality in a compliant manner, recording actions through helpdesk software via tablets.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and contractors, dealing with technical queries and information.
  • Provide shift relief and/or on-call services as required.
Requirements
  • Completed an accredited Electrical apprenticeship training course to a minimum level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent.
  • Relevant training or equivalent experience, plus additional training and developed skills, e.g. air conditioning.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High level of knowledge and understanding of electrical/mechanical services/systems and a working knowledge of other associated trades.
