Community Liaison Officer
Working in Partnership with Local Communities
This is a six-month, full-time, trial pilot position to work with local ethnic and all local communities in Rotherham and Sheffield to make them aware of the HCD 'Local Community Model', where people with more complex 'assessed care needs' have the option of local people being chosen, employed, trained, and paid to support them at home. If this pilot is successful, the position may become established.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community outreach strategies to engage with local communities and promote the HCD 'Local Community Model'.
- Visit local community groups, mosques, social groups, charities, and local specialist health charities to raise awareness and build relationships.
- Visit individuals who have expressed an interest in being supported in their own home by local people they may already know.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders to identify and address the needs of vulnerable individuals and communities.
- Provide presentations and training to local community groups on the benefits of the HCD 'Local Community Model'.
Requirements
- Awareness of care or care support at home would be valued.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Publisher.
- You must have a full driving license and your own vehicle.
- Be compassionate and caring.
- Have the confidence and ability to talk to people at a professional level.
- Be punctual, flexible, and willing to make necessary changes to meet any changing needs of the company.
- You must have a willingness and the flexibility to travel to various locations.
Benefits
- A salary of £30,000 per annum.
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
