Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Amenity Services Operative to join our team at East Lothian Council. As an Amenity Services Operative, you will be responsible for providing front-line service delivery in street sweeping, general grounds maintenance, and related services across East Lothian.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality street sweeping and grounds maintenance services to ensure a clean and safe environment for the community.
  • Operate a range of equipment, including street sweepers and other machinery, to maintain public spaces and infrastructure.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure effective service delivery and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of service delivery.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant industry experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve service delivery goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
