Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Consultant

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our Regional Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert care and medical leadership to young people with complex psychiatric disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a psychiatric service for young people up to 18 years in a regional inpatient setting
- Provide medical leadership and Responsible Medical Officer responsibilities for patients within the regional adolescent inpatient service
- Collaborate with multi-agency colleagues and develop links with colleagues across the West of Scotland and other inpatient services in Scotland
- Join a cohesive and well-functioning multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of evidence-based pathways of care
- Full GMC registration and a licence to practice
- Higher specialist training leading to CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR)
- Experience of working in tier 3 or 4 child and adolescent psychiatry services
- Registration as an Approved Medical Practitioner according to the terms of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act
