Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on all people-related issues, working closely with the Director of Human Resources to ensure seamless delivery of HR services.

Main Responsibilities
  • HR Advisory Services
    • Provide first-line generalist HR advice and support on terms and conditions of employment, HR policies, and procedures.
    • Work closely with the Director of HR to resolve matters on advice.
  • HR Systems and Processes
    • Maintain systems and processes such as recruitment, employment contracts, leavers, and appraisals.
    • Arrange and attend informal/formal meetings and hearings with the Director of HR, ensuring accurate paperwork.
  • Employee Support and Guidance
    • Provide advice and guidance on absence issues and return-to-work cases to managers.
    • Work closely with the finance team to resolve employee-related matters.
  • Investigations and Compliance
    • Act as a liaison with management to provide advice and guidance on job design, recruitment, induction, best practices, and company procedures.
    • Work closely with the UK HR team and US HR team on HRIS systems to manage updates and implementation.
  • Employee Communications
    • Serve as a point of contact with benefit providers/administrators.
    • Participate in recruitment efforts by consulting with recruitment agencies.
  • Performance Management
    • Maintain performance management systems and processes.
    • Act as one of the Mental Health First Aiders.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • Experience of working in Human Resources as an established HR Advisor.
    • Full or part CIPD qualified.
  • Personal Attributes
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
