Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes children's learning and development.
  • Engage children in a range of activities, both indoors and outdoors, to encourage their physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, safe, and engaging setting.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members, providing support when needed to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children, their parents/carers, and other staff members.
  • Act as an effective key person, maintaining accurate and effective observations of children's progress.
  • Adhere to and implement all Nursery policies and procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Enthusiasm and motivation, with a passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to deliver exceptional care and education within the setting.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Level 3 Childcare/Early Years or above qualified.
  • Recent experience in a childcare setting advantageous.
  • DBS.
