Social Worker Permanence Specialist

We are seeking a qualified social worker to join our Permanence Service in Oldham Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families in need.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a social worker to make a real difference in the lives of children and families. You will be responsible for undertaking professional assessments, working directly with families, and coordinating services to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake purposeful professional assessments to identify and assess individual children and young people's needs.
- Use strength-based restorative approaches to embed a culture of working 'with' children and their families.
- Work directly with families to identify and address social, emotional, educational, occupational, recreational, and cultural needs.
- Keep all recordings up to date and child-focused, reflecting the voice of the child and their daily lived experience.
- Ensure clarity of the source of information and detail what is fact and what is professional judgement.
- Assess, evaluate, and review programmes of work with children, young people, and families.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Social Work England registration.
- An Enhanced DBS.
