The OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Claims Technician to join our Construction & Engineering team. This role will be based at home, with occasional travel to our London City office.
Key Responsibilities- Administer new claims, including receiving instructions, issuing acknowledgments, and setting up files.
- Work closely with Adjusters to assist with investigation, claims management, and validation enquiries.
- Control the lifecycle of files to drive diary management and support proactive claims management.
- Assist in overseeing Adjuster caseloads during periods of leave.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including insured, insurers, brokers, and other interested parties, to ensure optimum customer service.
- Produce technical reports for Adjusters in compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines.
- Prepare co-insurers apportionment spreadsheets and ensure time reporting and billing is compliant with internal standards.
- Develop and run management information for clients and internal use, including performance measurement and data integrity reports.
- Ensure company standards are met in relation to technical and operational policies and procedures.
- Demonstrable claims technician experience, including caseload management.
- A keen interest in construction-related insurance matters and a willingness to learn and develop.
- An organised and methodical approach to work, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Able to self-manage workload and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting demands.
