About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Lead Specialist Pharmacy Technicians in developing and maintaining the medicines management service at ward level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of medicines management policies and procedures
  • Assess patients' own medications and provide medicines reconciliation services
  • Provide original pack dispensing and counseling services to patients
  • Coordinate the supply of discharge medications, including dispensing TTAs on wards
  • Support the induction and training of ward-based technicians, ATOs, pre-registration pharmacy technicians, and trainee pharmacists
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize routine daily tasks using own initiative
