Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Technical Accounting Director to join a dynamic company based in the UK. This is a hybrid working position ideal for someone with a strong background in technical accounting, financial reporting, and people management.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely completion of financial reports
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare trial balance for income and expenditure, and balance sheet accounts
- Manage the completion of tax returns (VAT, CIS, corporation tax) and provide commentary on group accounts
- Set processes and oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting operations
- Lead a finance team and provide guidance on technical accounting matters
- Proven experience working in a similar technical accounting or finance manager role
- Strong people management skills and experience
- Ideal candidate will be a fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with experience in the charity, not-for-profit, housing, or government sector
- Able to identify opportunities for change and improvement in financial processes
