Position: Site Engineer (Highways)

Salary: £35,000-£40,000

Role Overview:

As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the execution of our projects, focusing on highways and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the fundamental planning, monitoring, and scheduling of site activities.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior and graduate engineers as necessary.
  • Managing and reducing waste on site to enhance efficiency.
  • Identifying and implementing innovative processes and techniques on site.
  • Ensuring the security and proper maintenance of all company assets under your supervision.
  • Contributing to the establishment of a safe working environment.
  • Coordinating site engineering activities and providing essential information to operatives and subcontractors.
  • Completing daily logs and documenting photographic evidence as required.
  • Conducting material reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Calibrating all surveying equipment to maintain precision.
  • Performing as-built surveys on completed works and drawings.
  • Creating 2D and 3D site sketches to support project needs.
Candidate Profile:

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Advanced skills in setting out techniques.
  • Relevant experience in Civil Engineering, particularly in highways, rail, water, or aviation sectors.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher qualifications.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • A valid CSCS card.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and CAD software.
