Senior Research Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Manager to join our team at the Youth Endowment Fund. As a key member of our Research team, you will play a critical role in developing evidence-based recommendations in policing and leading the development of our strategy and research agenda on policing and youth justice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Development of Evidence-Based Recommendations
    • Develop and lead the development of evidence-based recommendations in policing, working closely with our Change Team to produce resources and accessible summaries for policing and youth justice colleagues.
  • Lead the Development of the YEF's Strategy and Research Agenda
    • Lead the development of the YEF's strategy and research agenda on policing and youth justice, working closely with our senior leadership team to ensure alignment with our overall mission and goals.
  • Become the YEF's Expert on Policing and Youth Justice
    • Become the YEF's expert on policing and youth justice, providing thought leadership and expertise to inform our research and policy work.
  • Develop Great Relationships with Experts
    • Develop great relationships with experts and represent the YEF in external meetings and events, building partnerships and collaborations to advance our mission.
  • Produce Accessible Summaries of Evaluation Reports
    • Produce accessible summaries of YEF evaluation reports that can be used by policy makers, practitioners, and service commissioners, ensuring that our research is communicated effectively and used to inform decision-making.

Requirements

  • Experience in Policing and/or Youth Justice
    • Have a strong understanding of policing and/or youth justice, including key ideas, debates, recent policy developments, and key people.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including experts, policymakers, and practitioners.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
    • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop evidence-based recommendations.
