About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Mergers and Acquisitions team in Global Corporate and Specialty. As a Senior Underwriter, you will play a critical role in underwriting complex Warranties & Indemnity, Tax & Contingency insurance products, which are the main products in the M&A insurance suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new business in line with GCS strategy and delegated underwriting authority limits.
- Converse with collaborators both internally and externally to deliver business objectives.
- Generate profitable premium and establish strong relationships within Aviva.
- Lead technical conversations within the team and liaise with key collaborators from our broker panel.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of complex Warranties & Indemnity underwriting, markets & cover, with strong technical knowledge of transactional exposures.
- Strong technical negotiating and drafting skills, together with proficiency in the structuring and placement of complex multi-jurisdictional & international insurance programs.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to drive business growth.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work enthusiastically and collaboratively within a team environment.
