Job Title: Aesthetic Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at Recruit Mint Ltd. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining high-precision machinery for our clients.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Machine Installation: Carry out machine installations, including all electrical, electronic, and mechanical work according to manufacturer specifications.
  2. Health and Safety: Follow all relevant Health & Safety procedures, and test the machine to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  3. Repair and Maintenance: Complete repairs in line with the manufacturer's specifications and ensure the machine operates to the satisfaction of both the manufacturer and the customer.
  4. Reporting and Communication: Report progress to the Service Manager and work with customers as needed.
  5. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure repairs meet customer satisfaction and report any significant problems to both the Service Manager and the customer.
  6. Maintenance Documentation: Develop maintenance documentation and offer general machine maintenance training to ensure customers can maintain their machines effectively.
  7. Technical Support: Stay up to date with the latest machine models by attending manufacturer training sessions as needed, ensuring high standards of technical support are available from the date of new machine launches.
  8. Additional Tasks: Be flexible and prepared to carry out any additional tasks or responsibilities as required by the company, ensuring a consistently high standard of service.
Person Specification:

To be successful as a Field Service Engineer, you will need:

  1. Experience: Demonstrated experience and a proven track record in working with high-precision machinery, ideally CNC lathes or metal cutting machinery.
  2. Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
  3. Electrical Skills: Solid electrical skills with experience in diagnosing and resolving electrical faults.
  4. PLC Systems: Familiarity with PLC systems and ladder logic programming.
  5. Technical Documentation: Proficient in reading, interpreting, and fully understanding technical documentation, including schematics and manuals.
  6. Independence and Proactivity: Ability to work independently, manage tasks proactively, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  7. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday Circa 40 hours a week.
