We are in search of a forward-thinking PR & Events Specialist on a part-time basis to enhance our expanding team at The Smarty Train. What will your responsibilities entail in this pivotal position? Here’s an overview:

Public Relations:

  • Establish and nurture connections with essential media outlets (trade, vertical, national & business)
  • Effectively introduce TST's new offerings to the media (e.g., ECO)
  • Enhance visibility of TST's established L&D solutions in the marketplace
  • Raise awareness of TST's broader cultural transformation initiatives beyond early career development
  • Generate PR activities surrounding TST events (HIVE, Webinars, etc.)

Event Management & Awards:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key conference organizers
  • Identify and coordinate sponsorship and speaking opportunities
  • Oversee all aspects of TST events from conception to execution (i.e., HIVE, webinars, etc.)
  • Build and sustain relationships with relevant awards organizations
  • Determine the most suitable awards organizations and categories for TST
  • Manage the entire awards submission process
  • Coordinate logistics for attendance at awards ceremonies

Do you have the following experience?

  • 3+ years of experience in PR and Events, preferably within an agency, consulting environment, or as part of an in-house PR and/or Marketing team

With expertise in the following areas:

  • Experience in organizing events of various sizes and scales
  • Direct client interaction experience
  • Proficiency in Media Relations & Social Media Management, along with current trends
  • Established journalist contacts within the HR/business trade press and/or national media
