Chassis Architect

This position will support concept design, design maturation, packaging, analysis, and validation activities for spare wheels, spare tires, jacks, service kits, temporary mobility kits, and other chassis architecture components for electric vehicles.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement chassis architecture components, including wheel, jack/service kit, and structure systems.
• Develop and maintain engineering specification packages to ensure products meet project parameters.
• Manage chassis component development and validation projects.
• Create and release component documentation, including 2D drawings.
• Manage designed parts in the virtual environment and support virtual build and release activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to deliver components on time and to specification.
• Work closely with Design, CAE, Whole Vehicle, and Dynamics Teams to take components from initial conception to completion.
• Effectively balance multiple projects, responsibilities, and tasks simultaneously.
• Meet program timing and budget constraints while achieving vehicle dynamic, crash, aero, NVH, and chassis attribute targets.
• Define validation procedures to ensure optimized, integrated, and robust designs are released.
• Travel as necessary to support supplier visits and production engineering support.

This role requires strong technical skills, including experience with design tools, simulation software, and project management methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, chassis architecture, and component design.
