About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Physical Health Psychology Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with medical consultants, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists to provide comprehensive care to patients with physical health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with physical health conditions
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, including cognitive-behavioural therapy and other evidence-based interventions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist who possesses the following qualities:

  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in applied psychology
  • HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist with Chartered Status
  • Experience of working in a physical health setting or a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
