As a vital member of the Commercial Finance division, you will report directly to the Head of Commercial Finance. This segment of the finance team is essential for the precise and timely analysis of membership performance and the execution of the growth strategy. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for enhancing the efficiency of reporting processes, including automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Generating monthly revenue and yield reports while analyzing variances against forecasts.
  • Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly membership reports, disseminating findings across various departments, including senior management.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of core membership processes and systems to ensure the accuracy of all membership reporting.
  • Assisting the Commercial Finance team in delivering thorough commercial analysis to the broader organization, including evaluating the effects of pricing and product modifications.
  • Monitoring promotional activities throughout the year and providing performance feedback.
  • Analyzing the performance of new club openings, a crucial growth opportunity for the organization.
  • Supporting the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
  • Continuously enhancing management information systems to improve reporting automation for key business stakeholders.
  • Building strong relationships with the Commercial, Insights, and Configuration teams.
  • Managing reporting and analysis for Value Added Sales and supplementary reporting.

Candidate Profile:

  • This position is ideal for an analyst who is part-qualified or a finalist (e.g., ACCA/CIMA).
  • Experience in a multi-site organization is advantageous.
  • Exceptional data analysis and presentation capabilities.
  • Proficient in Excel with experience handling complex and large datasets.
  • Strong comprehension of financial statements and the ability to model them effectively.
  • Analytical and innovative thinker with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across a matrix organization.
