**Job Summary**

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Optimization Project Engineer to join its Scheduled Maintenance Development (SMD) team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in reducing through-life costs and improving aircraft availability.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Analyze in-service data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to reduce maintenance costs.
  • Apply Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) methodology to optimize maintenance schedules and reduce the perceived maintenance burden.
  • Conduct data analysis to establish root causes of aircraft equipment or system failure.
  • Participate in Engineering Design Reviews and RCM reviews.
  • Review vendor-supplied data for acceptability prior to RCM activities.
  • Assist in aligning FMECA/RCM data within the LSAR.
  • Provide guidance on maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic QA checks on IETP amendments and organize rectification activities.

**Requirements**

  • Demonstrate a sound background knowledge of R&M/RCM and familiarity with ILS analysis techniques.
  • Understand the requirements of international reliability and maintainability standards used in the aerospace industry.
  • Preferred knowledge of EH101/AW101 or AW159 technical publications, engineering, and helicopter systems.
  • Experience in helicopter operations or support.
  • Excellent working understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
