SEN Teaching Assistant - Sensory Support Team

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Sensory Support Team in a vibrant primary school. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating and delivering sensory-based activities tailored to children with a range of needs, including hearing impairments, Autism, sensory processing disorders, and other learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with teachers and the head of the department to design and implement sensory-based learning activities.
  2. Provide individualized support to students with sensory processing challenges, utilizing tools such as sensory circuits, visual aids, and tactile learning materials.
  3. Establish a calm and structured environment to support students during transitions and more challenging parts of the day.

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Experience working with children with SEN or within a primary school setting.
  2. A patient and creative approach to learning.
  3. A proactive, hands-on approach to supporting children's emotional and educational development.
