Position Overview: Ashleigh C of E Primary School is seeking to hire a sanitation operative. The ideal candidate will possess prior cleaning experience and demonstrate a strong work ethic along with reliability.

Contract Details: This role is a 41-week contract, which encompasses a week of cleaning during the Easter break and a two-week cleaning period in the summer.

Key Responsibilities: The successful applicant will join a team of cleaning staff and will report directly to the Caretaker. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the premises.
  • Performing daily tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
  • Dusting and polishing surfaces.
  • Cleaning restrooms and disposing of waste.

Important Note: All candidates who are shortlisted will undergo an online search as part of the selection process.

Eligibility: Devon County Council requires all applicants to have the right to work in the UK without restrictions, as we are unable to provide sponsorship or work visas. Proof of eligibility will be requested during the interview process.
