About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team at Nationwide Platforms, the UK's leading provider of powered access equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to travel across the North of England, ensuring seamless delivery and customer service for our valued clients.

Your Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload machinery, adhering to company protocols and utilizing appropriate equipment.
  • Maintain the security of your cargo throughout loading, transportation, and delivery processes.
  • Provide comprehensive handover instructions to customers, ensuring they understand the operation of our equipment.
  • Conduct thorough daily inspections of your vehicle and ancillary equipment to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Strictly comply with all relevant legislation concerning vehicle safety, tachograph operation, and working hours.
  • Effectively communicate customer inquiries to depot staff for prompt resolution.
  • Serve as a positive brand ambassador, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Meticulously complete all necessary paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail.

About You

  • Possess a valid HGV Class 1 license and a full CPC card.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in accommodating overnight stays, typically three nights per week (accommodation provided).
  • Prior experience driving low-loader vehicles for plant delivery or vehicle recovery is advantageous, though comprehensive training can be provided.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of customer service principles and the ability to effectively demonstrate equipment functionality to clients.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of HGV vehicle safety protocols and maintenance practices.
