We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead our Children's Homes team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our care homes, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the Children's Homes team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services.
- Staff Management: Recruit, select, induct, supervise, train, develop, and support staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and maintain high standards of care and service delivery.
- Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with children, young people, families, and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure the safety and well-being of children and staff.
- Medication Management: Ensure the safe handling and administration of medication, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Individualized Care Plans: Develop, deliver, and evaluate individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Admissions and Matching: Manage the admissions process, including matching children with suitable placements, and support colleagues in this task.
Requirements:
- Experience: Recent experience of working as a Registered Manager in a local authority or children's care home.
- Education: Degree-level education, plus the NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care, or equivalent qualifications.
- Skills: Strong IT skills, excellent people skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Certifications: Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service and a full UK driving license.
