We are seeking THREE full-time Culinary Specialists to enhance our team at Fenny Lock.

Role Details:

Overview

We are in search of THREE full-time Culinary Specialists for our Fenny Lock location.

Working Hours:

  • The schedule will include both:
  • Early shifts: 7:00-15:00
  • Late shifts: 11:00-19:00
  • This will cover 5 days, including 2 out of 4 weekends

Compensation:

  • The annual salary for this position ranges from £24,400 to £31,000. A shift premium may apply based on hours worked, which will be discussed during the interview process.

Employment Type:

  • These are permanent positions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in comprehensive site and departmental induction training from day one
  • Experience in large-scale catering is advantageous
  • Proficient knife skills
  • Engage in all aspects of food preparation
  • Develop menus utilizing fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Provide excellent customer service on a daily basis
  • Understand and implement food safety management systems, including food safety policies and COSHH chemical handling
  • Utilize food monitoring systems to check food and delivery temperatures
  • Assist Hospitality Catering Assistants and Apprentices
  • Complete mandatory online training in Food Safety Level 2 within 3 months, followed by Food Safety Level 3
  • Engage in all operational areas including cleaning, stock management, receiving deliveries, counter service, and shift closure
  • Support the ordering of food and equipment for the dining area

Essential Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant operational experience in dining facilities or the hospitality sector
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Food Safety Level 3 certification
