Position: Maintenance Technician

Our client is in search of a skilled maintenance technician to enhance their team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production machinery, with a particular focus on lathe equipment, and have substantial experience in a maintenance capacity within a manufacturing setting.

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent mechanical skills and be adept at disassembling machinery to replace components such as bearings, conveyor belts, and other parts subject to wear.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lathe Area Department in the upkeep of multiple multispindle lathe machines and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose issues with machinery and equipment.
  • Disassemble machinery when necessary to replace mechanical components.
  • Utilize maintenance management software to track and update tasks.
  • Identify spare part needs to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Support other departments in maintenance tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with a variety of general workshop machinery and tools.
  • Familiarity with production machinery, especially lathe machines, with a minimum of 5-10 years in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and capability to disassemble machines for part replacement.
  • Willingness to provide support to other business areas in a maintenance capacity when necessary.
