Civil and Structural Engineering Opportunity

Access Talent Group is currently seeking a skilled Civil or Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Derby, Midlands. Our client is a reputable SME with a strong presence in the region, looking to strengthen their Development Infrastructure team.

About the Role:

  • Minimum 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 8 years post-qualification experience in civil and structural engineering
  • Full UK driving license and own transport
  • Chartered or near-chartered status with a relevant body (MICE or MIStruct)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality technical design on projects requiring highway and drainage design
  • Carrying out drainage calculations, including QBar, attenuation storage, and pipeline capacities
  • Designing adoptable and non-adoptable highway, driveway car parking, and footpath structural pavement designs
  • Preparing Developer Enquiries, Environment Agency product requests, and LLFA information requests
  • Preparing S104, S106, and S185 application forms and associated packages
  • Report writing, including Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Flood Risk Assessments
  • Ensuring projects are undertaken within budget and timeframes
  • Supervising CAD/Revit technicians and junior engineers on technical/construction details
