Job Title: Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join our client's team in Huntingdon. As a key member of the Venatu Recruitment Group, you will be responsible for leading a focused team in the warehouse and logistics division, establishing goals, performance metrics, and responsibilities, while developing and implementing strategies to align with the company's overall goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Warehouse and Logistics Team: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and logistics team, ensuring efficient and effective management of stock, inventory, and shipping.
  • Enhance Business Performance: Develop and implement strategies to improve business performance, while adhering to legislative and environmental constraints.
  • Collaborate with IT Department: Work closely with the IT department on projects to improve warehouse systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Health, Safety, and Security: Enforce procedures related to health, safety, hygiene, and security in collaboration with the Health, Safety, and Compliance Officer.
  • Delivery Strategy: Refine and optimize the company's delivery strategy, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers.
  • Stock Control and Storage: Oversee stock control, storage layout, and movement within all warehouses to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Third-Party Servicing: Oversee third-party servicing to maintain energy efficiency in warehouses, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Staff Management: Recruit and manage warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to company procedures and maintaining discipline.

Requirements:

  • GCSE/T Levels or Equivalent: In Maths and English.
  • Degree in Operations, Logistics, or Leadership: Preferred, with strong background in a senior management role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in Excel and excellent communication skills.
  • Strategic Planning: Strong strategic planning abilities, KPI monitoring, and team collaboration.
  • Project Management: Experience with project management, racking, maintenance, and site management, and an understanding of Net Zero targets.
