CNC Machine Operator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC programmer/setter operator to join our team at Arc Recruitment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating 2 HAAS VF2 milling machines and a MAZAK lathe, with a focus on producing high-quality components.

The ideal candidate will have CAD-CAM knowledge and be able to write/edit programmes unaided. Knowledge of HAAS and Mazatrol programming is an advantage.

The duties of this role will include:

  1. Setting of tools and offsets
  2. Setting of jigs for component manufacture
  3. Ordering materials
  4. Checking of components when machined

The successful candidate will work with mainly aluminium and occasionally mild steel.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail.

We offer a competitive salary starting at £17.00 p/h, with opportunities for negotiation dependent on experience.

The salary will be assessed after a 3-month probation period.
