Opportunity for a Sous Chef at Thoresby Hall Hotel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Thoresby Hall Hotel, a leading hotel in the UK. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the success of our kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in implementing menus that meet our brand standards and guest preferences
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring all stations are organized and prepared for service
  • Supervise and train junior chefs, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment
  • Ensure food safety standards are always adhered to, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage food costs to meet financial targets
  • Support the Head Chef in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and responding to guest feedback

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced and high-volume environment
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to consistently delivering high-quality dishes
