About the Role
The Saeys Lab is renowned for its pioneering work in bioinformatics and computational biology, encompassing the analysis of cytometry and single-cell transcriptomics data, cell-cell communication inference, and spatial omics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance NicheNet, our cutting-edge cell-cell communication tool, utilizing Python.
- Improve the interoperability of NicheNet with various other tools used for single-cell RNA-seq data analysis and cell-cell communication inference.
- Contribute to the development of bioinformatics software, driving forward our research capabilities.
Requirements
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Informatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python is essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are required.
- Desirable but not mandatory:
- Experience with programming in R.
- Interest or experience in single-cell RNA-seq data analysis and cell-cell communication.
- Key Personal Qualities
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
