An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Tax Manager to join a top-tier practice. The successful candidate will manage and advise on tax matters, delivering expert solutions to a broad range of clients.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at Michael Page Finance. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing and advising on tax matters, delivering expert solutions to a broad range of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising and corresponding with HMRC in respect of clearance applications, enquiries etc
- Drafting reports and letters of advice for a number of tax advisory issues
- Preparing calculations to support advice
- Liaising with clients and attending meetings with other team members
- Training and reviewing the work of more junior members of staff
- Providing support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group
- Advice and implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs such as EIS/SEIS, staff incentive schemes
- Advising owner-managed businesses regarding remuneration planning, succession planning
- Preparation of research & development claims, VAT returns, SDLT returns
- Advising individuals regarding IHT planning and CGT mitigation
- Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team and have a strong attention to detail.
