About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Dental Nurse to join our specialist team in the Maxillofacial Department at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in Outpatient Oral Surgery clinics, Orthodontics, Nurse-Led clinics, Scrubbing in Main Theatres and Assisting and scrubbing in our own Operating theatre ensuring high quality care is met in line with the GDC Regulations and trust policies.
  • Carry out clerical tasks as required within the role such as orthodontic model boxes, uploading patient photographs.
  • Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing specialist practical skills and theoretical knowledge across a wide range of Orthodontic and Maxillofacial procedures in accordance with the British Dental Association (BDA) and British Orthodontic Society (BOS) recommendations.
  • Be accountable for your dental nurse registration and ensuring you complete all of the relevant CPD in line with the GDC recommendations.
  • Have excellent communication skills with patients, careers, support services and clinical colleagues dealing with exposure to highly distressing or emotional circumstances.
