We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join our team at Calibre Candidates. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our finance function and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Planning and Reporting: Prepare and review monthly and annual financial reports and accounts, including budgets and projections.
- Team Leadership: Lead and train a reporting finance team of 11, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of financial objectives.
- Financial Operations: Monitor financial operations within the company, including invoicing and other transactions, and maintain responsibility for accountancy software.
- Statutory Accounts: Prepare year-end statutory accounts, reports, and financial statements, including Value for Money Statements.
- Cash Flow Management: Review cash flow and oversee VAT calculation and recovery.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and review of a 3-year strategic business and budget plan, and contribute to the development and review of the Business Continuity Plan.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading a finance team, with a strong track record of delivering financial objectives.
- Financial Expertise: Fully qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA, with solid technical skills in statutory accounting, VAT, and audit.
- Technical Skills: Advanced skills required in Excel, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Location: Live within a 1-hour commute of Swindon.
- Pension Scheme: Exceptionally generous pension scheme.
- Holiday Entitlement: 26 days holiday, increasing to 31 days with long service.
- Hybrid Working: Hybrid working arrangement, with 2 days working from home per week.
