Job Title: Airway Fellow

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airway Fellow to join our team at St Johns Hospital. As an Airway Fellow, you will play a key role in providing anaesthesia for airway procedures and contributing to the development of airway management skills within the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide anaesthesia for awake tracheal intubations, transnasal humidified rapid insufflation ventilatory exchange (THRIVE), and other airway procedures.
  • Teach and train junior members of staff in videolaryngoscopy and other airway management techniques.
  • Contribute to the development of airway management skills within the department.
  • Participate in clinical management and airway management multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) for complex airways.
Requirements:
  • Full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • At least four years full-time postgraduate training in a specialty training programme or specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT).
  • Equivalent training, experience, or competencies in the UK or overseas.
