Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and skilled Clinical Physiologist to join our friendly cardiovascular team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Our service provision covers a wide range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To perform and report routine and specialized complex investigations in cardiology and respiratory medicine.
  • To work in the catheter lab, performing procedures such as LHC, RHC, and PCI with Pressure wire, and working towards OCT, IVUS, Rotablation, and Shockwave.
  • To implant pacing devices, including pacing and working towards ICD, CRT, and Left Bundle Branch area pacing, including follow-up clinics both remote and face-to-face.
  • To work towards increasing knowledge of specialist cardiology diagnostics, culminating in working towards the BSE or BHRS (or equivalent).
  • To provide managerial support to junior staff.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • BSc in Clinical Physiology Degree with competencies acquired in routine and specialized cardiac/respiratory clinical investigations.
    • Computer literacy skills.
    • BLS.
  • Desirable:
    • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).
    • ILS certificate.
    • Completed including Part 1 Professional Exam (SCST/ARTP).
    • Member of relevant Professional Bodies.
