Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Emergency Department Technician to join our dynamic team at either Ealing UTC or Northwick Park Hospital UTC. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe and effective emergency care within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical support to nursing and medical staff, ensuring timely patient care and smooth department operations.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of care for patients requiring Level 2/3 interventions.
  • Perform sample analysis on ED lab analysers, adhering to strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control protocols.
  • Prepare procedural trolleys and assist medical and nursing staff in performing sterile clinical procedures.
  • Contribute to the safe transfer of critically ill or injured patients within the London North West University Hospitals Trust.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in an emergency department, ambulatory care unit, SDEC, AAU, or similar fast-paced environment.
  • GCSE Maths & English qualifications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of laboratory procedures and quality control testing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
