Procurement Strategist

Morgan Law is partnering with NHS Commercial Solutions to recruit two experienced professionals for the positions of Lead Category Manager. The successful candidates will join a dynamic procurement team, contributing to the delivery of strategic procurement services to NHS organisations across Kent, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, and beyond.
The Lead Category Manager roles will focus on category management, providing sourcing, contract management, and consultancy services to a diverse range of customers. Working closely with key stakeholders and internal and external customers, you will establish and support individual and collaborative project groups, engaging with stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Additionally, you will work with NHS Trusts to optimise value outcomes.
To be considered for these roles, you must demonstrate a strong background in public sector procurement, with experience in delivering category strategy and developing relationships at a senior level. Furthermore, you should be studying for your CIPS qualification.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement category strategies to deliver value and cost savings
- Provide sourcing and contract management services to customers
- Establish and support project groups to achieve strategic objectives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise value outcomes
- Contribute to the development of procurement policies and procedures
- Strong experience in public sector procurement
- Delivering category strategy and developing relationships at a senior level
