Job Title: Nursery Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Nursery Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and a commitment to providing a nurturing environment for young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in various nurseries across Leeds and Wakefield
  • Engage children in educational and play activities that promote their cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff to ensure seamless care and support
  • Support the Nursery Manager in daily operations, including managing activities and leading teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 months experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting, or a recognised childcare qualification (or be working towards one)
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to travel to and around Harrogate
  • Ability to drive is preferred, but not essential
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and leadership qualities to guide and supervise children effectively
