About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware and FPGA Engineer to join our growing team in Luton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex Firmware for our self-protection systems installed on fast jet, UAV, land, and naval platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Firmware using world-class tools such as Xilinx, TCL, Verilog, System Verilog, and UVM.
  • Work with FPGA architectures such as Xilinx 7, Xilinx UltraScale, Intel (Altera), or Microsemi (Actel).
  • Develop fast interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and JESD.
  • Use model-driven engineering with Matlab and Simulink tools to generate code.
  • Derive detailed Firmware requirements and architecture from system requirements.
  • Apply a structured approach to Firmware design (RTCA DO-254 or similar).
  • Implement cryptography and anti-tamper techniques.
  • Develop Artificial Intelligence, including machine learning and genetic algorithms.
  • Conduct electronics test methods and equipment.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Firmware and FPGA development.
  • Experience with design tools such as Xilinx, TCL, Verilog, System Verilog, and UVM.
