Exciting Opportunity for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a well-established firm in the Thornley area. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with experience in maintaining machinery in a production environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving faults, planning and applying forward-thinking to minimize downtime, and developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures for each machine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of production facilities
  • Diagnose and resolve faults in a systematic and logical manner
  • Plan and apply forward-thinking to minimize downtime
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures for each machine
  • Provide regular feedback to the Shift Engineering Manager on operational and maintenance issues
Requirements:
  • City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, and BTEC (Apprenticeship) in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, HNC or BTEC Level 3
  • Experience of maintaining machinery in a production environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
